REGISTRATION

How can I pay for a registration if I don’t want to do it over the internet?
In addition to online registration, you can pay for a workshop by:

We require your credit card number and expiry date. If you intend to mail a cheque, it would be helpful to provide a cheque number so we know to look for it.

What credit cards are accepted?
We currently only accept Mastercard and VISA. Sorry, we do not accept American Express.

I’d like to pay for my registration that I’ve already submitted. Can I still pay online?
Yes. To pay for an already-submitted registration, simply re-register and go into the final payment screen and submit. Once payment goes through, you will receive a receipt/confirmation notice (rather than an invoice) to the email address you provided when registering.

How do I claim the group rebate?
1. Group members must register online with payment in full at registration.jackhirose.com. Payment must be received before the earlybird cutoff.
2. All group members must provide the same group contact name as a note on registration.
3. Once all group members have registered and paid online, the group contact person must contact our office and provide a list of group members' names. We will provide the appropriate rebate at that time.

How do I claim the student rebate?
1. Students must register online with payment in full at registration.jackhirose.com. Payment must be received before the earlybird cutoff.
2. Full time students must provide a letter from an accredited educational institution verifying full time student status. Once we receive the letter we will provide the appropriate rebate.


How do you send the rebate?
Group and student rebates are a partial refund on workshop fees and are returned the same way workshop fees were paid. If you paid online with a credit card, we will reimburse your card in the appropriate amount. If you paid with a cheque, we will send a cheque in the appropriate amount.


I’m not sure my registration went through via the online registration
system. How can I check?

You should receive an email confirmation or invoice within 30 minutes of submitting your registration. Sometimes, the email confirmation notice is caught in spam filters or categorized as junk mail. If you did not receive a confirmation or invoice, please register again, being sure to double-check your email address. If you still do not receive a confirmation or invoice, please contact our office.

I haven’t received a confirmation yet, how can I get one sent to me?
Please contact our office. We can email, fax, or post a receipt or invoice confirmation to you.

Can I register at the door?
For any regular workshop event, with the exception of the Cognitive Behavioural Therapy Intensives with Dr. David Burns, you may register at the venue the day of the event. Registration opens one hour before the workshop start time, and it is recommended you arrive early to ensure paperwork and payment is completed before the workshop starts.

Do you accept purchase orders?
Sorry, we do not accept purchase orders for workshops.

My work is paying for the workshop, but they’ll be sending a cheque later. Can I still get the early bird rate?
To receive the early bird rate, payment must be received by the cutoff date. After the cutoff date, regular fees apply.

Is there space available still at the workshop?
We only limit registration (to 125 participants) for the Cognitive Behavioural Therapy Intensives with Dr. David Burns. All our other workshops have space available. We work with venues to ensure there is adequate space for all participants.

AT THE EVENT

What time does the event start?
The majority of our workshop events start at 9:00 am. However, some do start at 8:30 am. Be sure to check the agenda page for the event on our website. We recommend arriving up to one hour early to ensure ease of check-in and to enjoy refreshments before the workshop.

Do I need to bring anything to the event?
No, we will be providing drinks and snacks at the breaks. Your registration fee includes printed handouts, paper and pens for notes and a certificate of completion at the end of the event.

How can I be most prepared for the event?
Sometimes, due to circumstances beyond our control, the temperature of the event room fluctuates. It is suggested you dress in layers to be most comfortable.

Is lunch provided?
Lunch is not provided for our regular workshops – there are usually restaurants located close to the venue. However, if you are attending the Cognitive Behavioural Therapy Intensive, lunch is provided on two of the four days you are attending.

Is there parking nearby?
Please check our venue/hotel page on our website for parking information. If no information is posted, be assured that on the early bird date we will be emailing all registrants with details about the event, including parking and nearby amenities.

Are there restaurants located near the venue?
When we select our venues for our events, we try to keep ease of parking and proximity of restaurants in mind for our customers. On the early bird date we will be emailing all registrants with details about the event, including parking, nearby amenities, and nearby restaurants.

If you are receiving emails and would like to unsubscribe, please visit mailoptions.jackhirose.com and enter your email address and change the option to Not At All.
If you are receiving postal mail in error or would like to unsubscribe to our postal mailouts, please contact our office and include the address as it appears on the mailing label.

What is your cancellation/refund policy?
If you are unable to attend a workshop, we offer the following policy:

  • Refunds (or a credit for future Jack Hirose & Associates training) are available, minus a $40 administration fee, if notice is given 14 days or more before the workshop date. All cancellations must be submitted in writing.
  • In the case of the Cognitive Behavioural Therapy Intensives, refunds (or a credit for future Jack Hirose & Associates training) are available if notice is given 30 days or more before the Intensive date. All cancellations must be submitted in writing. The $100 deposit is non-refundable.
  • No refunds under any circumstances will be made thereafter.
  • You can send a replacement to the workshop at no extra cost. Please contact our office and let us know the name of the replacement, to minimize confusion at check in.
  • In the unlikely event that we have to cancel a workshop, we will naturally issue a full refund for workshop fees. Our liability is limited to workshop fees only.

Always refer to the workshop brochure for the specific terms and conditions.

I forgot to pick up/lost my workshop certificate. How can I get it?
Enter your email address at certificates.jackhirose.com to receive an emailed copy of your certificate. A $25 administration charge is in effect for printed/mailed certificates.

I lost my receipt/confirmation for a past workshop. How can I get a new one?
Enter your email address at certificates.jackhirose.com to receive an emailed copy of your receipt/confirmation.


How do I receive continuing education credits for my workshop attendance?
Each association has a different method for crediting CEUs. Our workshops are pre-approved with up to 6 associations in Canada and the United States (please check each workshop information page for a listing of associations.) The Canadian Psychological Association requires sign-in each morning of the workshop. For credit with associations not listed with Jack Hirose & Associates, please contact them directly.
